Louis Vuitton plans to introduce another smartwatch

Louis Vuitton is set to add a new smartwatch to its Tambour Horizon Light Up collection after the French fashion company kept quiet about smartwatches last year.

The new smartwatch comes with a custom operating system and a set of 24 LED lights. Louis Vuitton and its parent company LVMH have confirmed the existence of this watch. But he did not provide any other details.

The 2022 version should appear in a few weeks. This custom OS has no name yet. According to reports, the watch has a touch screen and a sliding user interface.

Swiping in different directions should see notifications, indicators, settings, and the My Trip screen that stores maps and boarding passes.

Since this is a nifty smartwatch, there may be customizable connectivity options and some basic health tracking.

The press release revealed the familiar circular pattern. However, 24 LED arrays have been added around the always-on display.

The LED is located under the Louis Vuitton monogram ring in the frame area. The screen itself is also made of a domed sapphire crystal.

The program offers eight different numbering options. You can also customize this setting by adding initials to the watch face by choosing colors and fonts.

The company equipped this watch with a Snapdragon 4100 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage space.

Unlike other watches that work with WearOS, this watch runs a proprietary operating system.

The report says that the operating system is designed for the iPhone. But it is also described as compatible with Android and Harmony.

If so, it wouldn't be the first time that traditional Wear OS smartwatches have left the platform.

The recently released Moto Watch 100 decided to run a special program called Moto OS. Although Motorola brand smartwatches always use Wear OS.

At the beginning of the year, Huawei Watch 3 and OnePlus also decided to switch to RTOS.

It is too early to tell if this trend will continue. However, this means that the difficulties of Wear OS have already begun.
