Apple is developing a device with a 20-inch foldable screen

Apple is working on a device that includes a 20-inch foldable screen, which journalist Mark Gorman described as a MacBook or iPad hybrid in its Power On newsletter.

Gorman said the company is exploring the possibilities of such a foldable device. This was endorsed by Ross Young, CEO and Analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants.

Last week, Yang drew attention to Apple's plans to create a foldable device with a large screen, while Gorman supported the rumours.

Gorman claims that the device has two screens, which eliminates the need for a physical keyboard and trackpad - navigation and input on the device is done entirely on touch screens.

As a possible launch date, Gorman cited Yang's prediction for 2026, around the same time the Apple car will be released.

Lenovo did something similar with the ThinkPad X1 Fold, which has a 13-inch screen that folds in half into a touchscreen laptop. But Lenovo has not yet mastered the technology.

Apple could launch it in 2026, and if it develops a foldable device, there will be plenty of time to do it right.

Apple plans to launch iPhone SE 5G in March

The tech industry has been advocating low-cost iPhones for emerging markets for years. The $200 device can be found in parts of Africa, South America, and Asia where Android is now its home.

This allows companies to attract more customers to services. This makes the low-cost iPhone very profitable for the long-term business. But so far, the company has deviated from this approach.

But when Apple released a 5G version of the iPhone SE, the company had a great opportunity to make a difference. The new device should be available from March.

Businesses can generate more revenue through long-term service and adding people to their ecosystem. It is all about expanding the user base through the use of cheap iPhones.

And these people may be more willing to try the AirPods, Apple Watch, or the flagship iPhone later. Such a device can greatly help companies in India.

The company once described China as the next China. But the iPhone is struggling to gain a foothold.

Research data shows that iPhone market share is less than 5% in India. But a $199 device could change that.
