| Google launches Chromecast HD content streaming device for $30 |
Google today announced a $30 Chromecast with Google TV HD.
The search giant is replacing the Chromecast that has been on the market since 2018 with its new version, which launches today with Google TV HD built in and supports 1080p resolution.
The device also supports HDR content output, but not 4K screen resolution, similar to the $50 Premium.
The new version is said to be available on the official Google web store and then on the Amazon store.
The new Chromecast also starts on the German market for €40, provided the Chromecast HD is only available in white and allows users to stream content from Stadia, YouTube and other services.
