Microsoft announced last Tuesday that it will integrate an updated version of ChatGPT into the Bing search engine and Edge browser. The new AI-powered Bing search engine is now available for a limited preview.
The massive success of ChatGPT interactive chatbot - which has become the fastest growing application in history - has prompted major technology companies to quickly introduce new product updates to keep up with the new age of AI that we are witnessing. Google did this by announcing that the first beta version of Bard is a new competitor to ChatGPT bots.
With this move, Microsoft is leading companies from Google to Baidu to adopt interactive chatbots and integrate them into browsers to provide more fluid natural language responses to search queries.
Bing search engine accounts for only 9% of the search engine market share, second only to Google in the search engine market, but has the integration of artificial intelligence increased this market share?
Microsoft said the new version of the Bing search engine and Edge browser will combine search, browsing, and chat into a unified experience that you can connect to on multiple devices and quickly get multiple results.
First when using the new version of the Bing engine:
- at (bing.com/new) on your desktop.
- Click the (Queue) button.
- To sign up, you need a Microsoft account, enter your account information, and then click Next.
- Once you have followed all the instructions on the screen, you will be taken to the registration page where it will say “Wow! You are in the super queue! You are in the queue.
If you sign up for a queue with a Microsoft account, Microsoft gives you two ways to skip the queue and get there faster.
Once the registration is complete, the queue page should contain an option to access the new Bing faster. When you click on it, you will see the following two options:
1- Set Microsoft default settings on your computer:
The Set Microsoft Default option on your PC requires you to set the Bing search engine as the primary search engine for the web browser you're using, whether on a Windows PC or a Mac.
2- Scan the QR code to install the Microsoft Bing app:
(Scan the QR code to install the Microsoft Bing app) Allows you to scan the QR code with your phone or tablet and download the Microsoft Bing app for iOS or Android because the QR code is the app store that unlocks your phone and prompts you to download the Bing app.
Make sure you're signed in to your Microsoft account when performing any of the above steps. In addition, during the limited preview period, users can try only pre-selected queries as free queries will be available later.
Secondly, the features of the new version of AI Bing Engine:
The revamped Edge sidebar has plenty of AI features, while a different mode allows users to interact with Bing in a ChatGPT-like interface.
Users can also refine the search by asking for more details through Bing chat where more complex searches can be performed such as: b: planning a detailed route or searching for a TV to buy, where a link to buy the product will appear
Bing may generate content, including email messages translated into other languages, social media posts, interview notes, and other content requested by users. It also cites its sources so you can learn more from the web.
