I just bought two, one for my 4 year old son and one for my 7 year old son. My 4 year old had an Amazon Kids laptop and it broke which is why I bought these laptops. By comparison (also twice the price), we honestly prefer it to Amazon Fire devices. Especially with the enlarged screen, which has a diagonal of 3 inches - it looks huge!
Quick and easy installation. It's directly linked to your family's Google accounts, so you can use parental controls right from your phone or laptop. WiFi connection was always good. Battery life is good, at least a few hours on a full charge. However, it charges quickly.
The only downside: Both charging cables broke within 24 hours. These tablets will not charge using a standard Type-C charger. I had to order a Type-C "expansion port" charger to get it to work. Not a big deal but thought it might save someone some trouble after reading this review.
The attached case is detachable for cleaning etc. It features a built-in kickstand that easily rotates for landscape/landscape. He looks tough and protective. I recommend using an additional screen protector. Volume 100% is really loud! Lots of apps to choose from as it uses Google Playstore. There is also a children's mode, which already contains a lot of games and videos.
Overall, my kids and I are very happy with these tablets and would recommend them to kids of all ages!
