Really happy with the product. Installation was easy and everything went very quickly. I signed up for FiOS, but my old router can't take advantage of FiOS's gigabit speeds. This new router is great. I use WiFi and get twice the performance of my old router. Your WiFi connection must be slow! At least that's what I thought. This router has many great features including guest networking, dynamic DNS, and automatic switching between two 5GHz broadband networks. The router's interface is very similar to the old Netgear interface, but it's cleaner, more modern, and more fun to use. Nighthawk app, take it or leave it. It's a nice gesture, but in my opinion, unnecessary.
My only complaint is this. There's no documentation on what the "high-speed" port on the back is, how to use it, or whether the two ports can be combined into a single high-speed port. There is no description or explanation of how it works. There's also no good description of how the antenna works, so you'll have to test it yourself or guess whether you can mount the device on a wall without affecting its performance.
If you're choosing from a range of routers, the RAX70 is the best router you can get. If you have the money for a more expensive model, go for it, but I don't think your money will go far, and I wouldn't choose one of the smaller models as some key unique features apply to this model. RAX70. I would not choose any other brand. Netgear has a great product, I have always used a Netgear router and have never had a problem. I had to replace them all because I had other devices, but it wasn't due to a defect in the product itself.
Overall, I like this product. Installation was very easy and I am very happy with my new Netgear Nighthawk!
