Developed by The Station, this title mixes traditional resource management with dungeon-crawling elements, asking players to grow a settlement above ground while digging deep below for the technology needed to escape a dying planet.
The game’s story unfolds during the events of SteamWorld Dig 2. The world is nearing its end, and the only real hope seems to be ancient technology buried in abandoned mines. That setup gives SteamWorld Build a clear goal, but getting there requires more than just digging. Players have to keep a functioning city alive at the same time.
Gameplay is split into two main halves. On the surface, you’ll build roads, infrastructure, and housing, then work to meet the needs of your citizens.
