If you missed out on the initial drop in Japan, you might want to keep a close eye on your browser. The highly anticipated collaboration between Casio and Café Kitsuné has officially landed in Europe. Following a whirlwind launch in Japan earlier this September—which saw the watch sell out almost instantly on Casio’s online store—and a subsequent release in the US, the retro-inspired timepiece is finally available for European watch enthusiasts.
The Casio x Café Kitsuné AQ-230ECK-3A is now listed on Casio’s regional websites across the continent, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. Priced at €99.90, the watch is already proving to be a hot commodity; most listings currently show it as "sold out online." However, hopeful buyers should keep checking back, as restocks are common with these limited editions. Unfortunately for fans in the UK, the watch has yet to appear on British shores.
A Retro Design with a Café Twist
At the heart of this collaboration is the beloved retro AQ-230 series. This special edition pairs a compact, 38.8 x 29.8 x 8.1mm resin-and-chrome case with a sleek stainless steel bracelet. The real star of the show, however, is the dial. It features a soft, pale green hue that perfectly evokes the color of matcha, paying homage to Café Kitsuné’s specialty coffee roots.
The branding is subtle yet distinct. A silhouette of the iconic Maison Kitsuné fox sits proudly at the 12 o’clock mark, while "Café Kitsuné" lettering appears on the lower half of the face. The collaborative branding continues onto the case back and the clasp, ensuring this is unmistakably a Kitsuné piece.

For those who appreciate functional nostalgia, the watch retains the classic ana-digi layout of the standard AQ-230. It combines traditional analog hands with a small digital display window situated at the bottom of the face (occupying the 7 o’clock to 5 o’clock positions). This digital window offers all the essentials, including time, date, day, a 1/100-second stopwatch, daily alarm, second time zone, and an automatic calendar. Powered by an SR920W cell, the battery is rated to last approximately three years, and the watch weighs a lightweight 47 grams.

This isn't the first time the French lifestyle brand has teamed up with the Japanese watchmaker.
