| A leaked render believed to be that of the HMD Pulse 2T Pro showing its rear display. |
The HMD Pulse series has been relatively quiet since its initial debut in 2024. While rumors of an HMD Pulse 2 lineup have been circulating for months, the company has yet to officially pull back the curtain on a successor—until now. A fresh leak has just surfaced online, shedding light on what appears to be a new mid-range contender: the HMD Pulse 2T Pro.
According to a detailed post on X by reliable tipster smashx_60, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro is shaping up to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, bringing a vibrant display, a massive battery, and a rather unusual design twist that could make it stand out in a crowded market.
The HMD Pulse 2T Pro is reported to have a 120Hz OLED display.
A Display That Pops
At the front, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro is reported to sport a 6.68-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This marks a notable shift for the Pulse lineup, as OLED technology typically offers deeper blacks and better contrast compared to the LCD panels often found in budget-friendly phones. Whether you're scrolling through social media or watching high-definition content, the 120Hz refresh rate should ensure fluid animations and a responsive touch experience.
Performance and Storage
Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 processor. While this is a 4G-only chipset, it has proven to be a capable performer in devices like the Redmi Note 15 4G and the OnePlus Pad Lite. The leak suggests the Pulse 2T Pro will launch in a single configuration featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Notably, the storage is listed as UFS 2.2, which should provide decent read and write speeds for everyday tasks.
A Camera Setup Built for Versatility
Photography enthusiasts might find the camera setup intriguing. The leak points to a 50MP primary rear sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)—a feature that helps reduce blur in low-light conditions and shaky videos. This is paired with an 8MP secondary camera, likely for ultrawide or depth sensing. On the front, HMD appears to be packing a 50MP selfie shooter, which should deliver sharp and detailed self-portraits.
Battery Life and Durability
One of the most compelling aspects of the HMD Pulse 2T Pro is its reported 6,000mAh battery. Combined with 33W wired charging, this device is likely designed to easily power through a full day of heavy usage and then some. The phone is also said to carry an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliance, meaning it should withstand a fair amount of rough handling.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, and—perhaps most notably—Android 17 out of the box.

The most eye-catching detail in the leak is what the source describes as an "Emo-LED." This refers to a secondary display on the back of the phone, akin to a miniature LED ticker. Leaked images show this display notifying the user of two unread messages or emails, reminiscent of the Glyph Interface seen on the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. While the full capabilities of this rear display remain unknown, it suggests HMD is experimenting with new ways to deliver notifications without requiring users to flip the phone over.
Colors and Availability
The HMD Pulse 2T Pro is expected to launch in three color options: Temper Blue, Titanium, and Orbit Green. As of now, HMD has not confirmed an official launch date or pricing. However, given the specifications, the phone is likely to target the affordable mid-range segment.
With its combination of a high-refresh OLED display, a massive battery, and a unique rear notification system, the HMD Pulse 2T Pro could be a sleeper hit—if HMD can get the pricing right. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
