Cologne, Germany — HoYoverse brought together more than 50 of the most dedicated Genshin Impact Miliastra Wonderland creators for an exclusive, invite-only meetup during Gamescom 2026. The Miliastra Wonderland Creator Face to Face, held on August 30, 2026, marked the first in-person gathering of its kind, and HoYoverse has now shared highlights and creator testimonials from the landmark event.

What Is Miliastra Wonderland?

For those unfamiliar with the platform, Miliastra Wonderland is the user-generated content (UGC) module built directly into Genshin Impact. Launched in October 2025, it requires no separate download and allows players—known as Craftspeople—to design, build, and publish custom stages for the entire community to enjoy. Since its debut, the platform has exploded in popularity, now boasting over 90,000 Craftspeople and more than 120,000 published stages.

The creative potential of Miliastra Wonderland was on full display at the Cologne event, with creators sharing stories about how the platform has transformed their approach to game design. You can explore some of these incredible creations on the official Miliastra Wonderland YouTube channel.

A Diverse Array of Stages and Creators

The event highlighted the remarkable variety of content being produced within Miliastra Wonderland. From action-adventure epics to social deduction party games, creators are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Genshin Impact's editor.

Chryzel, creator of the action-adventure stage Legend of Manekina, also runs a YouTube channel dedicated to teaching others how to build in the editor. "I would learn something, make a guide about it, and then often learn even more from the questions and feedback I got," Chryzel explained, emphasizing how community engagement has fueled their own growth as a creator.

DODO, the mind behind the social deduction party game IMPOSTOR, had originally planned to focus exclusively on party games. However, the introduction of the new Shooter mode changed everything. "Now that I've seen the Shooter mode, I'm so excited to build a good shooter game in Miliastra Wonderland," DODO shared enthusiastically.

Some creators are even using the editor as a filmmaking tool. Genshin Impact and collaborator Filo built the 3-in-1 Film Set, Sky Room, and Movie Explosions Set, which include green screens, dynamic spotlights, and controlled explosion sequences. Since Classic Mode does not support Camera Mode, Filo ingeniously built a wall spawner that uses walls to hide the character from the camera, enabling cinematic storytelling within the game's engine.

Creator yummie, behind Teyvat Sports Day and the upcoming tower defense stage A Mazing TD, recreated Genshin Impact's ice-bridging mechanic entirely from scratch after discovering that water surfaces cannot be frozen in the editor. They then generously offered the system to other creators through the platform's Resource Center. Meanwhile, Kosmos built Lightkeeper, a slow-burn cosmic horror stage set on an island with a lighthouse, showcasing the platform's versatility for atmospheric storytelling.

A Low Barrier to Entry

One theme echoed repeatedly throughout the event was the accessibility of Miliastra Wonderland's editor. DODO, who began making games at age 14 but later burned out after getting stuck on bugs, found that Miliastra Wonderland made it easy enough to finish and publish something meaningful.

Node Graphs, the visual scripting system at the heart of the editor, were singled out as the biggest help for newcomers. HoYoverse also provides video tutorials through the Craftspeople Academy, along with a comprehensive general guide. "It doesn't matter if you've never programmed in your life," DODO assured. Chryzel advised new creators to start small and focus on finishing projects rather than getting overwhelmed by ambitious ideas.

Community Support Drives Success

Several creators named the Miliastra Wonderland Creator Front Discord server as a vital resource for technical help and motivation. Aeszarck, who co-created the bullet hell stage 100 Rounds MW with Sonarenity, noted that having a collaborator makes it much harder to give up on a long project. IslaWoof, creator of A Fantasy In Sync and Ronova's Deathrun, added that support from both the community and HoYoverse made the creative process feel far less solitary.

The Discord server serves as a hub for creators to share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and celebrate each other's successes. For those looking to join this thriving community, the Genshin Impact MW Discord is open to all.

Looking Ahead

The Miliastra Wonderland Creator Face to Face at Gamescom 2026 underscored HoYoverse's commitment to nurturing its creative community. By providing robust tools, educational resources, and opportunities for connection, the company has built an ecosystem where both seasoned developers and complete beginners can bring their ideas to life.

Miliastra Wonderland is free to access inside Genshin Impact, requiring no additional purchase or download. Whether you're a player looking for your next favorite custom stage or an aspiring creator ready to build something new, the platform offers endless possibilities.
