| Shadow Warrior 2 is 90% off on Steam until October 8. |
If you’ve been waiting for a ridiculous, fast-paced shooter to tear through, now might be the perfect time to grab Shadow Warrior 2. The game is currently part of the Steam Autumn Sale, and it’s staying at 90% off until October 8. That drops the price from just under $29.99** to only **$2.99.
According to SteamDB, this matches the game’s previous all-time low, which was last reached in September. So if you missed it then, you’ve got another chance to pick it up for the price of a coffee.
In Shadow Warrior 2, players once again step into the boots of wisecracking mercenary Lo Wang. This time, he fights through a strange blend of Eastern temples, demonic landscapes, and futuristic cyberpunk environments. After a mission goes wrong, Lo Wang finds himself caught between different factions. He has to deal with familiar faces as well as hordes of demons, all while trying to survive the chaos.
Gameplay is all about speed and variety. There are more than 70 weapons to choose from, including pistols, shotguns, rocket launchers, katanas, claws, and chainswords. You can also use upgrades, elemental damage effects, and skills that let Lo Wang heal himself, turn invisible, or become more powerful in melee combat. The loot system keeps feeding you new gear and better weapons, so there’s always something to chase. You can play the entire campaign solo or online with up to four players.

For extra variety, many mission areas are repeatedly rearranged from handcrafted building blocks. That means routes, enemies, and even weather conditions can change. If you want to see the current deal, you can check out Shadow Warrior 2 on Steam while the sale is live.
In its German review, GameStar praised the fast and impactful gunplay, the huge variety of weapons, and the rewarding loot and upgrade system. Different character builds add further depth, while the co-op mode and high replay value help round out the package. The game isn’t perfect, though. Many mission objectives are fairly simple, and the procedurally generated areas don’t always match the quality of fully handcrafted levels. Then there’s Lo Wang’s crude humor, which won’t appeal to everyone. Even so, GameStar gave it a highly positive verdict: 90 out of 100 points.
The Steam community is similarly positive. At the time of writing, 87% of more than 28,000 player reviews are positive. On Metacritic, the shooter has a Metascore of 78, with a User Score of 7.8. There’s also good news for handheld fans: Shadow Warrior 2 is officially rated as “Verified” on Steam Deck, so it should run smoothly on the go.
And if you want to experience Lo Wang’s story from the beginning, the first Shadow Warrior is also on sale. Its predecessor is 90% off as well and costs just $2.99 until October 8.
For anyone who enjoys fast FPS action, over-the-top weapons, co-op chaos, and plenty of loot, Shadow Warrior 2 at $2.99 is a very easy recommendation. Just don’t expect Lo Wang to keep things polite.
