Casio has quietly expanded its retro-inspired Vintage lineup with four new metal mesh strap models, and they’re now rolling out across the US, Europe, and soon the UK. The watches, which blend old-school digital and hybrid analog-digital designs with a more premium woven stainless steel band, were first spotted on an official Casio site in October 2026.
The new arrivals are the A158WEMG-9, AQ230EMG-9A, LA680WEM-7A, and LA680WEMG-9A. Each keeps the compact, throwback silhouette that made the original Vintage series a cult favorite, but swaps the standard resin or leather strap for a finely woven metal mesh band — a small change that makes a big difference in how they look and feel.
Four Models, Two Flavors
The A158WEMG-9 is the classic rectangular digital watch, finished with a gold-colored resin case and a gold ion-plated stainless steel mesh strap. It’s the most traditionally “Vintage” of the bunch.
The AQ230EMG-9A is a square hybrid, pairing two analog hands with a slim digital display. Like the A158, it gets a golden resin case, but its matching strap is resin rather than metal — a slightly more casual take on the mesh trend.
Then there’s the LA680, a square digital model available in two versions: the silver-toned LA680WEM-7A and the gold-toned LA680WEMG-9A. Both feature a resin case with a chrome-plated bezel and, of course, that woven metal band.
All four come with the essentials you’d expect: stopwatch, countdown timer, and daily alarm.
US Pricing
At the Casio US store, the A158WEMG-9 is priced at $99.95**, while the **AQ230EMG-9A** comes in at **$110.00. The silver LA680WEM-7A is the most affordable at $69.95**, and the gold **LA680WEMG-9A** sits at **$99.95.
Europe and UK Availability
In EU countries including the Netherlands, Spain, and France, the A158WEMG-9 retails for €89.90 and the AQ-230EMG-9A for €99.90. The LA680WEM-7A is priced at €64.90, with the gold LA680WEMG-9A at €89.90.
For the UK, Casio has confirmed that the LA680WEM-7A and LA680WEMG-9A will launch “in the near future” with recommended retail prices of £55.00 and £85.00, respectively. There’s no word yet on whether the A158 or AQ230 models will make it to the UK, so fans of those two will have to wait and see.
