Corona injured an Amazon employee in the United States

Amazon said on Tuesday that employees of an office in Seattle, Washington, United States, were positive for the new coronavirus.

"We support the affected worker alone. The company has told CNBC that the worker lives in the Amazon Brazil office building in Seattle, Washington," the US e-commerce giant said in a statement.

Amazon briefed the staff on the situation with the injured employee and said: "The employee went home on Tuesday, February 25th, and he was not feeling well and had never entered an Amazon office." A note has been added: We have told the employee that we know we are in close contact with this employee. "

And Amazon added: "It is estimated that the risk of transmission of infection to employees who were not in close contact with this person is small." Amazon asked workers with symptoms to stay home and see a doctor.

In the United States, the state of Washington has experienced the largest increase in HIV infections, many of which are linked to health care. Nine people died in Washington on Tuesday evening. The total number of confirmed cases in the state on Tuesday was 27, compared to 18 on Monday. According to health officials, 231 people in the state are being monitored for the virus.

It is worth noting that Google announced last week that a Swiss employee was infected with Corona virus.
