Samsung TV acts as a microphone for the Google Assistant

Google and Samsung have announced that Google Assistant is now available on the latest Samsung smart TVs in the US.

The AI assistant will be available on Samsung Smart TV models from 2020, including (8K QLED), (4K QLED), (Crystal UHD), (Frame), (Serif), (Sero) and (Terrace).

This update will initially be available in the US and released in other countries soon.

As more people discover the benefits of smart homes, Google will continue to work with partners to provide the best possible assistive experience for your favorite device.

Press the microphone on the TV remote control to activate the wizard. With your voice, you can tell Google to switch channels, adjust the volume, control playback, open the app, and do all the other things.

The TV has voice command settings and can be controlled using the remote control microphone. However, you need to direct them to use Google Assistant instead of Samsung's standard Bixby Assistant.

You can also control other smart home devices connected to Google Assistant and let the assistant operate other smart home devices or get weather forecast information for answers on screen.

After installing the Antenna Updater, users can activate the wizard on Samsung TV by going to (Settings), (General), (Sound), and (Voice Assistant) respectively.

There are indications that Samsung is planning to make more use of Google Assistant, and reports out of the summer indicate that Google and Samsung are negotiating assistant features on Samsung devices.

It's unclear what this means for Samsung's assistant Bixby, which was introduced in 2017. The South Korean company is said to have begun removing some of Bixby's augmented reality features.

Google also announced that the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential, which supports its voice assistant, is now available.

This watch is the successor to the popular Lenovo Smartwatch. Due to its small size, the current version can be installed almost anywhere in your home.

The company offers a 4-inch LED display per hour that allows you to display the information you need such as time, day of the week, and weather.

This $ 49.99 watch - slightly cheaper than other voice-activated watches - can play playlists and podcasts, add items to shopping lists, make calls, and control other compatible smart devices.
