| Private Share .. a secure Samsung file transfer app |
The report shows that the South Korean company Samsung is preparing to introduce a new file sharing feature called "private sharing."
The company this year introduced the Smart Quick Share feature, which makes it easy to share files between the company's smartphones and tablets.
According to reports, the new feature uses blockchain technology to enable more secure file transfers.
The company was inspired by temporary messages that control the flow of file shares.
Once the sharing expires, the file is deleted from the recipient's device, and the private sharing app prevents the recipient from re-sharing the file and taking screenshots of it.
However, nothing prevents the recipient from taking pictures of the information on another device.
According to the report, the "private sharing" feature is similar to the "Quick Share" feature.
Both the sender and the recipient must have a Private Sharing application. Once the sender sends a transfer request to the recipient, a special channel is created after the request is accepted.
The new sharing method is expected to be one of the new features in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 series.
It is not clear if this feature is for private sharing with the latest Samsung devices or whether it can be provided by the other Samsung phones in the group.
It should be noted that this will not be Samsung's first experience with blockchain technology as the Galaxy S10 has already introduced a blockchain wallet to securely manage cryptocurrencies.
The report shows that the South Korean company may launch a new flagship in early January 2021. The phone is expected to be available by the end of this month.
You can transfer files between mobile devices in several ways. You can use Bluetooth, NFC, Close Sharing, and Samsung Quick Sharing. If the file is not very large, you can send an email to the recipient.
