A research report by TF International Securities analyst Ming Ming said Apple plans to redesign the MacBook Pro in the third quarter of 2021.

Kuo said it was the first major overhaul of the MacBook Pro since its launch in 2016. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman released a report that included many of the same details.

The new MacBook Pro is said to have a flat design, like the iPad Pro and iPhone 12.

Current laptops have sharp edges, but the top and bottom appear to be flatter than before.

The new model is said to be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, with Apple-designed ARM processors and no Intel options.

Kuo said: The heat-piping system used in laptops is similar to the current 16-inch MacBook Pro, and is much better than the current 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air as it can improve the system's processing power.

Bloomberg reported that the new model has a brighter screen and higher contrast. Guo Mingmost thinks the most important thing is that the new laptop can offset some of the controversial changes Apple has made to the current generation of products.

The OLED touch stick is said to have been completely replaced by physical function buttons. Kuo also said that more ports will be used to reduce the need for a dongle, although this has not been specified.

Apple MacBook Pro models are limited to USB-C ports. There are no other connections available since 2016.

The MagSafe magnetic charging connector appears to be making a comeback, but it's unclear if it has anything in common with the new MagSafe accessory system for the iPhone 12.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the Apple M1 processor launched in November. However, the hardware of this model is almost the same as the current version of Intel.
