| The richest man in the world sold $ 5 billion worth of Amazon shares |
According to SEC filings, Jeff Bezos, the world's richest man, sold nearly $ 5 billion in Amazon shares this week.
The documents show that Amazon's general manager sold about 1.5 million shares at an average price of around $ 3,350 between Monday and Thursday.
The sale is part of a predetermined business plan, which means increasing the total stake of the world's richest man in Amazon from 53.2 million shares to 51.7 million shares.
The deal came a week after Amazon announced first-quarter results and beat Wall Street expectations as business continued to recover on the back of the popularity of e-commerce businesses.
