According to an email from former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the American giant is developing the iPhone nano.

According to Jobs' letter, this news came after rumors that the company was developing the iPhone nano in 2011. This new iPhone is said to be smaller and cheaper than the flagship model at the time, the iPhone 4.

Although the company never released this mini phone. But an email related to the Epic Games v Apple case confirmed that it was developed in 2010.

The October 2010 jobs email, the strategic meeting agenda, didn't contain much information about the device. But there is one important point in the list about the iPhone Nano project.

After discussing the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, attention turned to the iPhone Nano project. Joni Ive, the company's former design director, discussed cost goals and equipment presentation.

A byproduct of the 2011 strategic project was the creation of a low-cost iPod touch-based iPhone model to replace the 3GS. However, it is not clear if it is the iPhone nano or other devices.

The company does not currently use the Nano brand in any of its smaller products. But when Jobs sent that email, the company had just released the sixth version of the popular iPod nano.

Therefore, the brand still had a certain influence at that time.

It should be noted that the iPhone Nano is not the first mysterious nano-product to appear on the agenda of the conference sent by Jobs. Jobs mentioned a Super Nano in an email on August 5, 2007. It appears to be an updated version of the iPod nano. It will appear in the first half of 2008.

During that time, the company did not release the iPod nano. It is currently unknown if the fourth generation iPod nano that the company launched in September 2008 is the Super Nano that Jobs mentioned.

The company ditched the Nano brand and ditched the iPod Nano in 2017. Instead, it chose to name the iPhone 12 Mini and the currently available HomePod Mini.

It is not clear when the company will stop developing the iPhone nano. But Apple didn't release cheap phones until 2016.

The original retail price of the iPhone SE was $399. This is an updated version of iPhone 5S released in 2013, not a refurbished one.

However, it is good to imagine what a mini iPhone Nano would look like. Especially in 2010 and 2011. At that time, the flagship iPhone 4 had a small 3.5-inch screen.
