| Yubico offers a safer way to carry your security key |
Yubico has worked with Keyport to develop a new key manager designed to store your YubiKey security key (a small dongle that provides extra security for your login) along with your Home key in a small, compact case.
A security key usually has a small hole through which it can be attached to a keyring. Although it is a convenient way to carry the security key. However, this increases the risk of damage.
Accidentally destroying your security key can be critical and this is where Yubico x Keyport Pivot 2.0 comes in.
These new accessories allow users to carry keys - standard metal keys and security keys - while placing them securely in a sturdy metal frame.
The wrench adjuster uses a black anodized 6061 aluminum body. The bearing attachment is 3.2 inches wide and 0.6 inches wide and weighs less than 29 grams (without the wrench installed).
Yubico x Keyport Pivot 2.0 Key Adjuster was launched earlier this month at a price of $25. Functionally, it is very similar to the current Keyport Pivot 2.0 Key Adjuster.
The difference appears to be a small Yubico logo on the outside. Yubico also noted that this press release does not include the Keyport lost and found service.
