Nintendo is shaking up its approach to console bundles with a surprising new offering for soccer fans. While early Switch 2 bundles have largely leaned on first-party heavyweights like Mario Kart World, the gaming giant is now pivoting to third-party partnerships for specific regions. The latest move targets Brazil and other Latin American countries with a console configuration that ships with a digital copy of EA Sports FC 27.
The reveal comes courtesy of industry insider Daniel Reenlsober, who shared the news on social media. According to his post on X, the package features the soccer title’s logo prominently on the box, though it lacks a distinctive custom design. The Switch 2 EA Sports FC 27 bundle is officially slated for an October 15th release date, carrying a manufacturer's suggested retail price of R$4,699.

For those hoping for a bargain, this bundle might cause some sticker shock. As seen in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, Latin America saw a price increase for the Nintendo console on September 1st. When converted from Brazilian real to USD, this new SKU costs over $900. However, it does follow domestic pricing trends, and Reenlsober notes that it is actually slightly cheaper than the Mario Kart World bundle and the upcoming Switch Sports Resort alternative.
This soccer-focused handheld isn't the only bundle pushing a third-party title. On December 4th, Nintendo will release a Monster Hunter Wilds offering in its home country of Japan. Just as the Capcom series is a massive attraction in Japan, FC 27 promises to be a top seller in Brazil.
A Port with Compromises
EA’s annual sports franchise enjoys a passionate following across Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia. In recent years, the title has been developed to improve console parity with PS5 and Xbox, including multiplayer modes like the open-world hub called "The Grounds."
Unfortunately, some features don't offer cross-play, which restricts matchmaking to a smaller, handheld-specific player base. Reviews also confirmed that performance is again limited to 30 fps in both portable and docked modes. Regardless, the hardware has an advantage since the Steam Deck does not support EA's anti-cheat system.
Regional Availability
Even though the game is highly sought-after in Europe, Nintendo has not announced a Switch 2 bundle with EA Sports FC 27 for that region. Still, buyers satisfied with the original Switch appreciated the recent arrival of a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle at an affordable €199.99 price point. For now, it seems Nintendo is tailoring its hardware offerings to match regional gaming cultures, putting soccer front and center for Latin American players.
