Google could launch Pixel 5a on August 17th

More and more evidence is showing that Google's upcoming Pixel 5a phone may hit the market soon. There are reports that images of Pixel 5a components will be sent to mobile repair shops before the August 17 announcement.

These images seem to confirm the rumors surrounding the budget phone, including the release date.

It is clear from the image that the device corresponds to the previous image that appeared in February.

In terms of the rear and camera design, the design looks almost identical to the current Pixel 4a 5G. The most obvious difference is the polygonal power button.

The settings and dimensions of this phone are similar to the two rear cameras of the Pixel 4a 5G. But it does have a larger 4,680mAh battery (previously 3,800mAh) — the largest in any Pixel phone — than the hard plastic of previous generation phones, and the back is a bit rubbery.

The picture also supports a headphone jack. But the motherboard and other components are not clear. Despite the fact that Google should bet on the Snapdragon (most likely 765G from the Pixel 4a 5G) rather than some other version of the Pixel 6's dedicated tensioner chip.

According to the sources, the search giant is planning to launch the Pixel 5a on August 17th. There were rumors that this phone could go on sale on August 26 for $450, which is $50 less than the Pixel 4a 5G but $100 more than the Pixel 4a.

In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman claimed that the Pixel 5a will hit the market in August. When you think about the Pixel 4a's launch last August, it should come as no surprise.

The company announced the Pixel 4a in a press release last year. This year, the Pixel 5a could do the same.

If the leak is accurate, you won't have to wait long to find out all the details of this mid-range phone. For the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, we may have to wait until October for their official release.
